The American Cockroach stands out from the other cockroaches due to its large size (>5cm) and reddish colour. The American Cockroach
lives and breeds mostly in sewers and drains. It can also infest old buildings. While the source of the cockroaches is elsewhere,
they will establish themselves in your building were conditions are favourable. These are warm areas where there is food and water.
Places to check are hot water cupboards, fridges, dishwashers- warm areas. As they tend to infest buildings it is important to check
all hot water piping exiting the walls ( e.g. bathrooms). It is important to note that as the source of the American cockroaches is
offsite and inaccessable (e.g. sewers). Aces can not stop them entering your building, but an Aces treatment will kill them when upon entering.
TREATMENT: Aces uses Permex dust to find any infestations in your building. From there Aces sprays the interior/exterior of
your building with a residual spray (long lasting). The areas favourable to cockroaches are treated with dust and gel bait treatment is
to food cupboards etc. Attention is paid to pipes entering your building when treating your premises.
PROCEDURE: A treatment takes around one hour and there is a two hour stand down period afterwards. The treatments have
a flushing effect and you may see cockroaches or a few days after the treatment. No need to empty the food cupboards.
